Treatment for Asperger’s Syndrome & Autism

Through December 2016, I will be writing several comprehensive posts about my experiences with Asperger’s Syndrome that will be shared with my college course blog. Access to this blog is only available to my Washburn University students and professor.

Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome technically cannot be cured, and while we don’t necessarily understand the scenario of how it’s caused while in the mother’s womb as many variables have been thrown around from the mother’s shampoo, the foods she was eating while pregnant and so on.

However, as we mentioned in a previous article that early recognition can help with intervention.  When I mention intervention, people think to drug or alcohol intervention, this type involves assisting those such as our kids and relatives with therapy.  Whether it is anger management, behavior therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or seeing a medical doctor for antipsychotic medication, this right now is the best motive for assisting individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism.
